3 Steps to Better Contact

February 20th, 2009 · No Comments

PGA instructor and Golf Tips Magazine Instruction Editor Rick Sessinghaus is featured on Golf Life Television as he gives a golf lesson to insure that you make better contact with your golf swing.

1. Better Posture – Use a golf club to straighten your spine from your tailbone through your head. During your golf swing, keep the incline of your spine at the same angle throughout the golf swing.
2. Better coiling during the backswing – Fold your arms holding a golf club across your shoulders and rotate until your left shoulder is over your right knee. This will help you to get proper weight shift and rotate correct “around” your spine.
3. Rotate your hips thoroughly on the finish – Your right hip should finish past or beyond your left hip on the finish. You need good flexibility but by practicing it, you’ll get more flexibility.
