A correct backswing position - eliminating the “chicken wing” and “across the top”

September 5th, 2007 · No Comments

Shawn Clement explains the mechanics of avoiding the chicken wing, swinging over the top and illustrates a simple training aid that you can create yourself to monitor the position of your backswing yourself and keep your swing plane on track. This golf instruction video also illustrates correct body rotation showing how the arms work in unison with the upper body to move freely and create power without the arms running into the body which prevents power. The torso needs to rotate out of the way of the arms in the backswing and the followthrough so that the arms can move through freely.
