In this golf instruction video, PGA pro Jack Nicklaus explains that he likes to play the golf ball just inside of his left heel. This rule of thumb is simple to remember and apply. In this video, you’ll watch Jack explain the reasoning behind the ball placement which explains why this technique will work for most golfers.
As a note: When hitting short golf clubs, your stance is narrower and when hitting longer clubs your stance is wider. As a result, the golf ball “appears” from a visual perspective to be at different positions in your stance depending on which golf club you’re hitting so just stick with Jack’s rule and you can’t go wrong.
