Many courses have specific requirements for golf attire and will not let you play unless you abide by their rules. Some courses are more elaborate than others so it’s important to know the courses rules before you get there. For example, I was invited to play at a coutry club which required dress slacks and a polo shirt with a collar and because I didn’t have any dress slacks on, I wasn’t allowed to play, however, one of my friends had some rain pants that were allowable which I had to wear over the top of my denim pants. Needless to say, two layers of clothing was very hot and sweaty. To be safe, wear docker type slacks and a collared shirt or call the pro shop in advance to ensure you don’t have any hang ups when you get there.
