Getting your game off on the right foot requires some good drills to get loose. In this golf lesson, learn one of Jeff Yurkiewicz’s favorite quick drills to help loosen up the wrists and tendons before a round of golf.
1. Establish a good golf grip, correct posture, and address the golf ball.
2. Now you will practice a drill that establishes the correct hinging and unhinging of the wrists through the impact position. Point the golf club to your right; toe up and the club shaft parallel to the target line and the ground by hinging the wrists and turning the forearms and keeping your arms in front of you.
3. Unhinge the wrists and turn the forearms in front of you through the impact zone letting the club head come in contact with the turf and re-hinging the wrists and continuing to turn the forearms toward the finish by pointing the toe of the golf club upward and the club shaft is parallel to the target line and the ground to your left.
