Here are some simple keys for perfecting your pre-shot routine. The key to a great pre-shot routine is memorizing a specific set of steps. Do your routine exactly the same way every single time no matter what kind of golf shot you are hitting. You’ll improve your mental confidence dramatically which in turn will save you strokes.
Try this process:
1- Stand behind the golf ball.
2- Draw an imaginary line from our target through the golf ball.
3- Pick out a target that is a few feet in front of your golf ball.
4- Set the club face on the target line perpendicular to the target line.
5- Line up your feet, knees, hips and shoulders parallel to the target line.
6- Look at your target and then the ball. Do a waggle or two and hit the golf ball.
