When the golf ball is plugged in a bunker, don’t use your standard stance and swing because the “bounce” on the sole of the club won’t allow you to get underneath the golf ball and the club will probably hit the side of the golf ball and you may not even get out of the bunker.
Change your setup and swing:
1. Place the golf ball in the center of your stance.
2. Toe the clubface in slightly so the club works more like a shovel and digs the golf ball out.
3. Put your weight forward in your stance.
4. Pick the club up quickly hinging your wrists quickly.
5. Hit 2 inches behind the ball and the explosion of sand will bring the golfball out with it.
