Launching your Drives

September 7th, 2007 · No Comments

Most people either hit down on their drives creating too much back spin which creates drag and makes the ball not fly as far or they don’t hit their golf ball at a high enough trajectory to maximize their distance. There is an optimum launch angle to get the most distance and the easy way to find that out is to go to a golf club building facility where you can hit balls in front of a lauch monitor that can tell you what you are doing and help you determine whether a simple change in your spine angle and body rotation will help optimize your distance or whether you need to get fit with a different driver that may use a different loft or shaft flex and kickpoint.

In this golf instruction video, Kris explains the correct spine tilt and body rotation that keeps your hips in front of your shoulders so that you are hitting upward at impact with your drives which will maximize your driving distance.
