Local Golf Course Rules

August 27th, 2007 · No Comments

In addition to the standard rules of golf, each golf course can have their own individual rules which will be posted or listed on the golf card. Become familiar with them and if you don’t understand anything, ask a local golfer or the pro will be glad to help you. Part of ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable time at the golf course is knowing and abiding by the rules. Just like if you were playing basketball with some friends and liked to take 4 or 5 steps with the ball everytime you went up for a layup, no one would appreciate you playing that way and in like manner, everyone appreciates golfers who abide by the rules and especially take good care of the golf course ensuring that it’s in as good of condition when you leave as when you started by replacing divots, repairing ball marks, raking sand traps correctly, and not driving golf carts where you shouldn’t like near tee boxes, near greens and off cart paths.
