Roger Gunn - Driver and Golf Ball Fitting to get additional distance

August 11th, 2007 · No Comments

Roger explains 2 issues about driving the golf ball that have a great impact on the length of your drives.

Driver
1. Launch Angle (needs to be optimized so its not too low or too high)
2. Spin Rate (too much spin causes drag and makes the ball try to climb too much)
One of Rogers friends had a 125 mph swing speed which is higher than the average PGA tour professional and only hit his drives 245 yards. After he was fitted with a driver with the correct launch angle and spin rate for him, he went to an above average 320 yard drive.

Golf Ball
Match the right golf ball with your driver to help get the right spin rate and find out whether a hard or soft cover and core golf ball is right for you.
