PGA Golf Pro Roger Gunn - Taking Your Game to the Next Level

August 8th, 2007 · No Comments

In this golf instruction video, Roger explains that if you want to take your golf game up a notch, you have to work on your bread and butter shots which are the 7 iron and shorter approach shots, or a 6 iron and shorter clubs off a tee on a par three, not the long clubs (unless they are consistently penalizing you). If you can put together a great short game, you’ll save many more shots than you ever will working on hitting your long clubs. Also, when you make bogie on a par 5 going for it in two is an indication of an area that needs work and lastly, you should never have any 3 putts ever. Don’t focus on getting birdies, but rather avoiding bogies.
