Using GPS and Laser technology to score better

September 7th, 2007 · No Comments

Golf Life host Erica Webster tests the iGolf GPS and Bushnell Pin Seeker 1500 Slope Edition technology.

One of the largest handicaps to golfers taking their game to the next level, especially if they play on unfamiliar golf courses is that without a caddie telling you what your options are, in many cases you are left guessing because you can have blind shots and steep course elevation changes which unless you’ve played a lot of that before can leave you hitting way over or short of your intended target. One thing to remember is that the slope edition technology is not USGA approved so you can’t use it in tournaments, but you could use it for your practice rounds to get more familiar with club selection prior to playing in a tournament.

The new technology definitely makes it easier to play unfamiliar courses and help you with your club selection and shot selection so that you can still score well and have a great day of golfing.
