Improve Scoring Practicing with Old Golf Equipment.

February 27th, 2007 · No Comments

Golfers have benefited greatly from the new perimeter-weighted club designs. These clubs are very forgiving and still produce a reasonably good result even when the golf ball is miss-hit. Compare that to the old forged blade irons and “real wood” drivers which are not forgiving where miss hitting the golf ball gives a much worse result including lost distance, poor trajectory and direction.

Even the tour pros have made the switch to perimeter weighted golf clubs. In spite of the effectiveness of this new golf equipment, you can improve your ball striking ability greatly by using the older technology golf clubs to practice with. Take an old wooden driver and a forged iron to the practice range and learn to hit them well. Hone your golf swing using these clubs and you’ll definitely hit your perimeter weighted clubs that much better and score much better on the course.
