What happens to the ball when the clubface is open or closed at impact?

August 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

This instruction video uses a little device to show the trajectory of the golf ball with an open or closed clubface emphasizing the importance of a square clubface at impact. You can use this video to help you in intentionally hitting draws or fades by recognizing that when you open the clubface for a fade for example, the trajectory of the ball is higher and you need to add a club or more to maintain the same distance for your intended shot.
