If you’ve ever played another sport besides golf, then you already know what a ready stance is. If you’re a short stop playing baseball waiting for a line drive to come at you, your feet are wide apart for stability and your weight is toward the balls of your feet so you can launch off either foot toward a ball. The same position is used for catching a basketball or waiting for a tennis ball to come at you.
You use the same athletic stance in golf to maximize your ability to transfer weight during the swing and generate power.
You’ll feel some weight in your quads on the front of your legs.
Use good posture; stand up straight with good posture and then just tilt forward at the hips maintaining that good non-slouching posture at address with the golf ball.
